Who’s on the Front Row at Paris Fashion Week?

Olivia Palermo goes ladylike at Dior
With Milan over and done with, we’re into the final furlong of Autumn Winter fashion weeks — and now the race is on to secure those all-important front row seats at the glitziest of them all: Paris!

The Balenciaga show was besieged by famous faces and as the star of the brand’s up-coming fragrance, Kristen Stewart was the first to get her hands on the hottest ticket in town. She looked every inch the fierce fashionista as she strode from the show in tight leather trousers and a pretty chiffon top – a perfect mix of feminine with her usual rebel edge.

Perched next to Anna Wintour, she was also mere seats away from a radiant Salma Hayek whose colour co-ordinated russet dress and jacket combo (not to mention some sky-high heels) got the fashion photographers all in a lather.

Hip young ingenue Clemence Poesy did dressed-down casual to perfection in a tan biker jacket (so now!), cut-out-cool boots (we want them!) and Balenciaga bag (natch), whilst fellow mademoiselle Charlotte Gainsbourg embraced a splash of animal print on her jacket – totally tribal chic!

Over at the Dior show, Olivia Palermo worked bronze and black with a gold clutch bag, whilst Mila Kunis slipped a sugared-almond coat over a belted lace dress and completed the look with peep-toe shoes.

Hot on the heels of news that she is to auction 100 pieces from her wardrobe, Daphne Guinness was seen dashing into Gareth Pugh (though how she manages it in those shoes is a mystery to us). Perhaps she was keen to restock quickly?

So, what trends were emerging? Anna Dello Russo swapped the bright brights she wore in Milan for a more muted colour palette – though still with a healthy dose of crazeballs detailing. Where Ms Russo leads, the fash pack follows so stocking up on luxe-look materials in classic colours will put you ahead of the curve. We reckon the rich reds favoured by Madame Wintour, Ms Hayek, Clemence and Charlotte also look a dead cert to work their way into our wardrobes this winter – what an endorsement!
